I wonder how the staff here at NobodyisFlyingthePlane would do on this skills test?
U.S. adults didn’t fare so well compared to other industrialized countries. So its not just the kids and its not just the schools that are the problem.
Our country is getting dumber and more complacent. The staff here does like to blame things on lack of economic and social mobility, but it seems more than that is at work here.
Could surveys determine if there is a pervasive sense of, “things are good enough, comfortable enough, secure enough”. Have we lost our belief that things can and will improve?
