The current state of campaign funding is possibly the biggest threat to this country. It certainly is adversely affecting the political climate. We need radical change. These proposals should just be the beginning.
In keeping with the staff’s ‘something is better than nothing’ mantra, we take these proposals and pray the change doesn’t end there.
The suggestion that campaign finance reform, limits, transparency, etc could benefit one party over another is just an indication of how out of touch the GOP is. Their fiduciary overlords will be no more affected than those who pull the strings for the Libs.
We must get money out of politics if we want to get good capable people into it. The same thing applies if we want the peoples’ voices heard, not those of corporations, special interests, and a wealthy few.
